Cost of Living in Spain

Attending a college or a university in Spain is a once in a lifetime event that you are certain to appreciate for the rest of your life. The cost of living in Spain is much lower than other western European countries, making it a relatively affordable country to visit or live in for expats. The costs of living in Spain are not the same for everyone. It really depends on where you live and the lifestyle that you want to lead. On-Campus:

Some universities have their own halls of residence and student flats but places are limited. The average cost of this accommodation is around 300 – 600 Euro per month.

Homestay:

Host families welcome students to live with them throughout Spain, providing a highly rewarding and immersive experience for your education in Spain. The average cost of this accommodation is around 600 – 800 Euro per month with meals included.

Studio apartment:

This type of accommodation are a more independent housing option but tend to be a little more costly than other forms of housing. A studio apartment is a one-room unit that generally includes a living space, bedroom area, kitchenette, on-site laundry facilities, cable TV and telephone, and are typically available to rent for between 30 days and 1 year.

Sharing Room:

This is also a great and cost effective accommodation option for those students wanting a sociable living arrangement.

Rent flat: 

This type of accommodations are also available for students to stay independently. But It is difficult to obtain this type of accommodation and is more expensive. It is best to contact an agent if you prefer to choose this accommodation. The average cost  is around 700 – 1,300 Euro per month.
